How To Get Here

FROM THE FERRY: (with no vehicle)
Option 1:

1. Take the Pacific Coach Lines (www.pacificcoach.com) bus to Downtown Victoria and then take the BC Transit bus (www.bctransit.com) to Sooke (bus # 61)
2. Call the Centre, 642-3546, from Victoria when you know what bus you will be on.
3. Get off at the 17 Mile House Pub bus stop (30-40 min. ride).
4. Someone from the Centre will pick you up at this bus stop.

Option 2:

1. Take the BC Transit bus (www.bcferries.bc.ca) from the ferry (bus #70).
2. Get off the bus at Blanshard and Saanich Rd.
3. Turn RIGHT on Saanich Rd. and walk along Saanich Rd.
4. past the shopping centre parking lot until you get to Douglas Street (3-5 min. walk).
5. Turn RIGHT on Douglas St. to a bus stop there.
6. Transfer to the Sooke bus (bus #61) and get off at the 17 Mile House Pub bus stop (30-40 min. ride).
7. Call the Centre, 642-3546, from Victoria when you know what bus you will be on. Someone from the Centre will pick you up at this bus stop.

(The fare is: adults $3.00 youth and seniors $2.25 one way for two zones. Ask the bus driver for a green transfer so you don’t have to pay again when you get on the Sooke bus.)

From Victoria: (with no vehicle)
Take the BC Transit bus (www.bctransit.com) to Sooke (bus #61).

1. Get off at the 17 Mile House Pub bus stop. Transfer to the East Sooke Community (bus #66). Ask the bus driver to drop you off at Glenairley ~ Centre for Earth and Spirit.
2. Someone from the Centre can pick you up at the 17 mile house bus stop.
3. Call the Centre, 642-3546, from Victoria when you know what bus you will be on if you need to be picked up.

Driving from Swartz Bay

1. Take Hwy 17 (from Swartz Bay) to MacKenzie Road (comes as one enters outskirts of Victoria)
2. Go right (West) onto MacKenzie Road.
3. Watch signs for Hwy 1. Go right onto Hwy 1
4. Hwy 1 to Exit 14 for Sooke/Langford (it comes after about 6 kms on Hwy 1)
5. Follow this road through Langford (you'll turn right at an intersection about 4.5 kms from taking the Sooke/Langford Exit) ... watch for signs that say Sooke/Sooke Road. Turn right at the intersection, onto Sooke Road/Hwy 14.
6. Hwy 14 (about 12 kms) to Gillespie Road (Gillespie Road is on the Left, immediately after the 17 Mile House Pub and Liquor Store which is on the Right). [Note: You may miss the 'Gillespie Road' sign as it comes just before the 17 Mile House Pub. The sign you will see is an indicator sign that points towards East Sooke.] Turn Left onto Gillespie Road, and follow it to the end (about 5kms).
7. Turn Right onto East Sooke Road 
8. Go 2.5 km to 6040 East Sooke Rd (about 500 m. after Anderson Cove Road on the right). It's easy to miss, so please go slow after the sign for Anderson Cove Road.

This is the entry to Glenairley.
